Cueto set for season debut as Reds conclude series with Cubs

Cueto spent the bulk of the spring in limbo after leaving a March 11 exhibition start after two innings with right shoulder impingement. He left a March 19 start after one inning and was on the DL three days later.
He made rehab starts at Triple-A Louisville on April 16, 21, 26 and May 1 and was activated in time for today's outing.
The 25-year-old had his most successful season in the majors in 2010, winning a career-best 12 games and recording a 3.64 earned run average in 185 2/3 innings.
He's 3-5 against the Cubs in 10 lifetime starts and 32-32 overall through 92 big-league outings.
Chicago goes with veteran righty Ryan Dempster, who aims for a second straight quality May outing after a difficult April.
The British Columbia product was 1-3 with a 9.58 ERA in 31 April innings, allowing 34 runs on 42 hits, including an 11-2 loss at Arizona in which he was removed after recording just two outs.
He returned on his 34th birthday May 3 for a no-decision at Los Angeles, a game the Cubs won after Dempster had thrown seven innings while allowing six hits and just one run.
Dempster is 5-6 with five saves and a 4.20 ERA in 105 career innings against Cincinnati.
On Saturday, Carlos Pena hit a game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth before Kosuke Fukudome's RBI single gave the Cubs a 3-2 victory.
Chicago scored both runs off Francisco Cordero (2-1), who recorded his first blown save of the season.
Blake DeWitt crossed the plate on Fukudome's hit and also homered for the Cubs, who dropped the opener, 5-4, on Friday.
Drew Stubbs and Fred Lewis drove in runs in the seventh for the Reds, who had won three in a row.
Cincinnati won 12 of 16 games with Chicago in 2010, including a 6-1 ledger at Wrigley.
