Pirates-Nats postponed by rain

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Tuesday's game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals was postponed because of rain.

A makeup date has not yet been announced. The Pirates will return to the nation's capital for a three-game set from July 1-3.

The Nationals won Monday's opener of what was originally a two-game series, 4-2.

Washington is next headed to New York for a two-game set against the Mets, while the Pirates will continue a disastrous road trip with two games in Cincinnati. Pittsburgh suffered through a three-game sweep in Milwaukee to start the swing and has lost six in a row overall.
