Olivo's hit in 10th boosts Seattle over ChiSox

Olivo also homered in the game, as the Mariners won for the fourth time in seven games.
"He's always been the type of guy that gets big hits," Seattle manager Eric Wedge said about Olivo.
Aaron Laffey (1-1) earned the win by pitching a scoreless ninth and Brandon League tossed a perfect 10th to earn his 17th save of the year.
Sergio Santos (2-2) took the loss when he allowed the go-ahead runs to cross the plate in Chicago's third defeat in five contests.
Carlos Quentin went deep twice for the White Sox which accounted for three of their four runs.
"I think it was a good series. Obviously, you want to pick up that last (game)," said Chicago second baseman Gordon Beckham.
Santos did not allow a run in the ninth inning and stayed in for the 10th, but allowed a leadoff bloop double by Justin Smoak that dropped into shallow left field right in front of a diving Juan Pierre. Adam Kennedy followed with a walk before Olivo pulled a double just inside the third-base line to score Smoak and Kennedy.
Brian Bruney was then brought in, and a sacrifice bunt by pinch-hitter Greg Halman advanced Kennedy to third. Franklin Gutierrez then laid down a squeeze bunt to score Kennedy and give the Mariners a 7-4 lead.
League shut the door on the ChiSox in the home half, retiring the side in order.
Both starters pitched well, each allowing three runs in their outings. Jason Vargas lasted 7 1/3 innings, allowing seven hits and a walk for Seattle and Gavin Floyd allowed five hits and three walks while striking out three through six full frames for Chicago.
Quentin hit a two-out home run in the first to give Chicago an early one-run advantage.
Seattle took the lead in the sixth. Brendan Ryan and Smoak led off the inning with back-to-back singles to put runners on the corners. Kennedy followed by grounding into a fielder's choice that brought home Ryan and may have resulted in a double play, but after Beckham got the force at second, he threw the ball high to first to allow Kennedy to reach safely.
A Carlos Peguero walk moved Kennedy to second and Gutierrez smacked a two-run double down the left-field line make it a 3-1 game.
The inning ended Floyd's streak of 27 straight shutout frames against the Mariners.
The White Sox made it one-run game in the seventh after three consecutive two- out singles by Brent Lillibridge, Ramon Castro and Beckham.
But the Mariners got that run back on a Olivo homer off of Jesse Crain in the eighth.
Vargas allowed a one-out single to Alexei Ramirez in the bottom half of the eighth and was replaced by Jamey Wright on the mound. Quentin greeted Wright by hammering his second home run of the night into the left-field bleachers to tie the game 4-4.
