Astros "host" Cubs in Milwaukee
Sep 14, 2008 - 7:30 AM Chicago Cubs (88-58) at Houston (80-67) 8:05 p.m. EDTMILWAUKEE (Ticker) - (Ticker) -- The hottest team in baseball has had a hurricane and now an unexpected road trip stand in its way as it pursues the National League wild-card spot.
After having Friday and Saturday's matchups with the Chicago Cubs postponed, the Houston Astros will be the home team as the teams meet at Miller Park in Milwaukee on Sunday.
Hurricane Ike, which devastated Texas over the weekend, forced the postponement of the first two games and relocated the teams to their NL Central foe's park to play Sunday and Monday.
The Astros, who have won six in a row and 14 of 15, send Randy Wolf (10-11, 4.45) to the mound. The lefthander is 4-1 with a 3.81 ERA in nine starts since being acquired from the Padres.
Houston sits 2 1/2 games behind the Brewers (83-56) in the NL wild-card chase, thanks to a 33-11 record in its last 44 games.
Chicago counters with Carlos Zambrano (13-5, 3.58). The righthander has not taken the mound since September 2, a start against the Astros in which he allowed three runs, five hits and three walks before being pulled because of arm pain.
He has struggled to a 8.10 ERA in his last five starts, posting a 1-1 record.
