Bucks and Cavs collide in Central Division clash

Nov 24, 2010 - 3:42 PM (Sports Network) - A pair of Central Division rivals get together tonight at Quicken Loans Arena, where the Cleveland Cavaliers play host to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Both teams enter this matchup riding three-game losing streaks.

Cleveland took three of four meetings with Milwaukee a season ago and has won 15 of the past 19 games in this series. The Bucks have dropped five straight, 13 of 14 and 14 of their previous 17 trips to the Forest City.

The Cavaliers lost all three games on a recent road trip and five of six overall, including Tuesday's 100-89 setback at Indiana. Daniel Gibson and Ramon Sessions each ended with 15 points for Cleveland, which got 12 points and 10 boards from Antawn Jamison.

"We have to understand that we have to come out with a sense of urgency and do that for 48 minutes," Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott said. "This isn't even close to rock bottom. It's a good test for us."

Milwaukee will begin a two-game trek in Cleveland and Detroit tonight, and was last in action during Saturday's 82-81 home loss to Oklahoma City.

Brandon Jennings had a game-high 25 points in the loss, while former Cav Drew Gooden chipped in 16 points and 16 rebounds as Milwaukee dropped its third straight following a three-game winning streak.

"Tonight was another night where we get into the paint and some of our shots are turnovers," said Bucks head coach Scott Skiles. "We just throw them up there. Those aren't high-level pro plays; those are high school plays. We just need to get better at it."

Bucks center Andrew Bogut continued to deal with back issues and posted eight points and 12 boards in defeat. He is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game.

Surprisingly, the Bucks are tied for the league lead in scoring defense, surrendering 91.1 points per game.
