Blazers welcome Pacers to Rose City

Jan 22, 2011 - 4:05 PM (Sports Network) - The Portland Trail Blazers will continue a five-game homestand this evening, when the Indiana Pacers invade the Rose Garden.

Portland has won four in a row overall and opened the residency with Thursday's 108-93 triumph versus the Los Angeles Clippers. LaMarcus Aldridge and Wesley Matthews both finished with 28 points, while Rudy Fernandez added 17 points for the Trail Blazers, who are 15-5 at home this season.

"You've got to win in any way," said Matthews. "Pretty wins, ugly wins, tough wins. [The Clippers] are a lot better then their record shows and they've got a lot of talent. We were able to in the dog fight."

Andre Miller filled the stat sheet with 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, as the Blazers shot 56.4 percent from the floor and committed just seven turnovers.

The Trail Blazers will also entertain the Kings, Celtics and Spurs on the current homestand.

Indiana will resume a four-game road trip out west tonight and has lost three in a row overall, including the first two installments of this trek.

In Wednesday's 110-108 loss at Golden State, Monta Ellis hit a jumper with just 0.6 seconds left and finished with a game-high 36 points for the Warriors. Danny Granger had 32 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, while Tyler Hansbrough added 16 points and five boards in the loss.

Indiana had 18 turnovers and shot 46 percent for the game.

"We lost the game because of turnovers tonight," said Indiana coach Jim O'Brien. "Granger and Ellis both had great games out there tonight and Ellis' shot was big, but turnovers lost the game for us."

The Pacers are 6-13 away from Conseco Fieldhouse this season and will also visit Denver on the road swing. On the injury front for Indiana, center Roy Hibbert (illness) is listed as questionable for this evening.

Portland won both meetings with Indiana a season ago and is unbeaten in the previous four matchups between the teams. Indiana has lost six of 10 and eight of its last 13 contests in the Rose City.
