Bucks return home to host Pistons
Feb 5, 2011 - 4:02 PM (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Bucks are back in Brew City following an unsuccessful road trip and will host the Central Division-rival Detroit Pistons tonight from the Bradley Center.Milwaukee lost all three games on its recent trek against the Clippers, Suns and Warriors, and suffered a 100-94 loss at Golden State on Thursday from Oracle Arena. Ersan Ilyasova finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds, while Corey Maggette added 21 points for Milwaukee, losers in three straight following a three-game winning streak.
"We just had a couple breakdowns defensively, especially at the end where we couldn't get a stop," said Bucks forward Luc Mbah a Moute, who had 15 points and 19 rebounds in defeat.
Carlos Delfino finished with 20 points in a losing effort. Brandon Jennings and John Salmons combined for only four points. The Bucks will also welcome Toronto to the Bradley Center and are 11-10 in Milwaukee this season.
Milwaukee center Andrew Bogut has missed back-to-back games with a bruised right knee and is questionable for tonight.
Meanwhile, the Pistons won for only the third time in nine tries with Friday's 92-82 triumph versus the New Jersey Nets at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Tayshaun Prince had 22 points and rookie Greg Monroe notched 20 points and 11 boards for Detroit.
"It feels good," Monroe said of his progress. "It's even better that we got the win tonight. I'm just out there working. My stats are just showing that I'm out there trying to help my team win the game."
Tracy McGrady scored 16 points and entered the game averaging 11.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists in his last 24 outings. The Pistons ended a four-game losing streak and haven't played so hot on the road this season, going 5-21 as the guest.
Detroit won the first meeting with Milwaukee, 103-89, back on Nov. 26 at The Palace of Auburn Hills thanks to 18 points from Rodney Stuckey. Detroit has won seven of 10 and 12 of the last 16 meetings with the Bucks.
These two teams have split the last 16 meetings at Milwaukee.
