Durant, Thunder take on Kings in Sacramento

Feb 12, 2011 - 4:02 PM (Sports Network) - The Northwest Division-leading Oklahoma City Thunder shoot for their fourth straight win as the visitor when they hit the road for back- to-back games, starting with tonight's tilt against the Sacramento Kings.

Oklahoma City will also visit Golden State and is 15-10 away from home, where it suffered a 105-101 overtime loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. The Grizzlies outscored the Thunder, 10-6, in the extra period and got 31 points and 14 rebounds out of Zach Randolph. He also made a key basket late in OT.

Kevin Durant extended his career-best streak of double-doubles to five with a 31-point, 10-rebound performance for the Thunder, who had won three straight and six of eight games. Russell Westbrook registered 21 points and 11 assists in a losing cause.

"Shots didn't fall," said Oklahoma City forward Jeff Green, who finished with seven points. "We had open looks."

The Thunder led by as many as 13 in the first quarter and committed a season- high 23 turnovers for 31 Memphis points. They had been 5-0 in overtime games this season.

Sacramento will put the finishing touches on an unsuccessful six-game homestand Saturday and has lost four straight since opening the residency with a win versus New Orleans on Jan. 29.

In a 102-100 loss to Dallas Wednesday night, Samuel Dalembert notched 20 points and seven rebounds and rookie DeMarcus Cousins added 19 points and 15 boards for the Kings, who are 7-21 in California's capital. Reigning Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans fell an assist short of a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Cousins was ejected late in the game for receiving a second technical foul for getting tangled up with Mavs center Tyson Chandler.

"I just have to continue to grow," Cousins said. "I shouldn't let emotion get the best of me."

Cousins is averaging 20.5 ppg in the last six games, while Evans has scored in double-figures in each of the last 12. After tonight's game, the Kings will embark on a seven-game road trip through Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Miami, Orlando, Charlotte and Memphis.

The Kings and Thunder are playing the second of four matchups this season and Oklahoma City won the first meeting, 102-87, on Dec. 17 at home. Durant scored 24 points and Westbrook added 21 in that one for the Thunder, who have won three straight and six of seven in this series.

Oklahoma City has lost six of 10 and 10 of its last 15 at Sacramento.
