Wade leads Heat over Pacers

Feb 16, 2011 - 4:10 AM Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Dwyane Wade posted 41 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as Miami escaped with a 110-103 victory over Indiana at Conseco Fieldhouse.

LeBron James scored 27, grabbed six boards and dished out five assists for the Heat, who have won nine of the last 10 and bounced back from a frustrating 85-82 loss in Boston on Sunday. Chris Bosh added in 22 points and eight boards in the win.

Roy Hibbert had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead the Pacers, who are 7-2 since interim head coach Frank Vogel took over for Jim O'Brien. Both losses have been at the hands of Miami.

Tyler Hansbrough came off the bench to provide 16 points, while Danny Granger and Paul George both notched 14 points in the loss.

"We must be able to come out and play 48 minutes," Hansbrough said. "We got their attention and we feel that we are good enough to beat them."

Despite falling behind as much as 24 in the first quarter, Indiana made a comeback during the second quarter and took a small lead in the third.

Neither teams could take over the game early in the final frame. Wade hit a fadeaway jumper, to go up 91-89 with 6:42 on the clock and 30 seconds later James tossed the ball off the backboard and dunked it to put the Heat back up by two.

A couple minutes later, James scored six straight points to give the Heat a 101-94 lead with three minutes left. From there, Miami iced the game from the charity stripe.

Wade came out hot scoring 12 of the Heat's first 14 points and they took a 22- 7 edge midway through the first. He also highlighted the quarter with full- court baseball pass ally-oop to James with 3:50 left as the Heat dominated the opening 12 minutes by leading as much as 24 and finished with a 44-19 edge.

"I just came out aggressive," Wade said. "The last couple of games I don't think I was aggressive. I just wanted to do that. I got some shots to fall and my teammates kept looking for me. They got me off to a good start."

The lead was cut in half in the early stages of the second stanza, though, much to the aid of Indiana's bench. The quarter started with a 11-2 run by the Pacers. Hansbrough started the run with a dunk and A.J. Price's trey made it a 12-point game.

The Pacers continued to storm back and finished out the half on a 14-4 run. After a three by Brandon Rush and technical free throw make by Darren Collison, the Pacers were only down 58-54 at the half.

George hit a three then Collison stole the inbounds pass and fed Granger for a trey to tie it at 64, 3 1/2 minutes into the second half. A few moments later, McRoberts layin gave the Pacers their first lead of the game, 67-66.

The game was tight the rest of the quarter as the Pacers held a slim 83-82 advantage into the final frame.

The Pacers had won five in a row at home coming into the contest...The Heat have won seven of the past 10 meetings between the two teams...Wade had 22 points in the first quarter, he finished the game making 16-of-29 from the field...Granger had nine rebounds in the loss.
