Bucks host Nets in Brew City

Mar 18, 2011 - 3:03 PM (Sports Network) - A second straight postseason berth is becoming less and less likely for a Milwaukee team that continues to struggle.

The Bucks will again try to turn things around tonight when they resume a four-game homestand by hosting the New Jersey Nets at Bradley Center.

The Bucks are currently 10th in the Eastern Conference after a 93-89 overtime loss to Orlando in the opener of their residency on Wednesday, 2 1/2 games behind eighth place Indiana with just 15 games to play.

Brandon Jennings finished with 23 points and eight assists against the Magic for the Bucks, who have lost three straight overall. John Salmons posted 22 points in defeat while Luc Mbah a Moute and Keyon Dooling each scored 10.

"This is a game we really wanted to have to start this homestand," Mbah a Moute said.

Bucks center Andrew Bogut did not play because of a migraine and could return tonight.

The Nets, meanwhile, just finished a lengthy seven-game homestand by falling to Chicago, 84-73, on Thursday. Brook Lopez posted a game-high 22 points with eight boards but it was not enough to push the Nets' season-long winning streak to six games. Kris Humphries posted 13 points, 16 rebounds and a career-high five blocks in the loss.

"We played pretty good defense," Humphries said. "We just need to score points. At the end of the day we all have to shoot and finish plays."

Sasha Vujacic added 13 points in a reserve role while Deron Williams dished out 11 assists but shot just 1-for-12 from the floor as the Nets finished 5-2 on their residency.

Milwaukee has won seven straight over New Jersey, including a pair of meetings this season.
