Apr 8, 2011 - 6:50 PM (Sports Network) - A pair of disappointing Central Division inhabitants square off tonight at The Palace of Auburn Hills, where the Milwaukee Bucks will close out a three-game road trip against the Detroit Pistons.

Milwaukee will miss the playoffs for the fourth time in five years and has alternated wins and losses over the previous six games. It is coming off an improbable 90-95 win in Miami on Wednesday, as John Salmons scored 17 points and Luc Mbah a Moute added 14 and 12 rebounds.

"We should have made the playoffs and we didn't. We should be pissed off," Bucks head coach Scott Skiles said.

Corey Maggette and Keyon Dooling finished with 14 and 10 points, respectively, for the Bucks, who got six points and 10 rebounds from Andrew Bogut. Bogut also had four assists, three steals and four blocked shots. Milwaukee forced 16 turnovers for 18 points and made all 15 of its foul shots.

Bogut, however, was shut down for the rest of he season Friday with right elbow pain. The big man, who averaged 12.8 points, a career- high 11.1 rebounds and league-leading and career-best 2.6 blocks per game, will undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove scar tissue and loose particles.

The Bucks are 12-27 away from Brew City this season.

Meanwhile, Detroit was able to put the brakes on a four-game losing streak with Wednesday's 116-109 home triumph over the New Jersey Nets.

Rodney Stuckey scored 22 points -- 14 of which came in the fourth quarter -- and also dished out 10 assists. Richard Hamilton compiled 25 points and nine assists, while Greg Monroe chipped in 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Pistons, who pushed their home record to 20-19.

"I knew I was going to be playing the whole second half so I was trying to save some energy for the fourth quarter," Stuckey said. "I just picked my offense up."

Detroit shot 55.1 percent for the game and had a 42-30 advantage on the glass. In injury news, guard Will Bynum (knee) and center Ben Wallace (knee) are both questionable for Friday's game.

The Pistons will miss the postseason for the second year in a row after eight consecutive appearances in the playoffs. They have won two of three meetings with Milwaukee this season and are 13-5 in the past 18 matchups between the Central foes.

Milwaukee has lost 14 of its last 18 contests at The Palace.
