Cousins beats buzzer, Kings top Suns

Markieff Morris missed a jumper from in close with the game tied in the closing seconds, then it was all up to Cousins from there.
Coming out of a timeout, Cousins picked up the ball at the top of the key, pump faked and forced up a contested jumper that hit off the rim a few times before finally going down for the win.
Cousins finished with 28 points and 12 rebounds to help the Kings snap a three-game losing streak. Ben McLemore added 13 points and Ramon Sessions had 10 in the win.
"Any win, at the buzzer or by 50 for us, we need all the wins we can get right now. Being at home, close to the break, to get a win is good," Sessions said.
Isaiah Thomas paced the Suns with 26 points and Goran Dragic chipped in with 13. The Suns have lost four of their last five.
"We're trying to win as many games as we can," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said. "It's tough in the West to hang in there... We play a lot of good teams. These are the ones that hurt because they are games we should win."
McLemore's 3-pointer late in the first gave the Kings a eight-point lead and they brought a 26-18 edge into the second quarter.
Sacramento quickly pushed the margin to 12 early in the second, but Phoenix went on a 12-3 run later in the quarter to cut its deficit to one following Isaiah Thomas's technical free throw.
McLemore answered with a 3 that started a 7-0 spurt for the Kings, who led 48-42 at halftime.
Cousins netted back-to-back buckets to help Sacramento close out the third quarter on a 10-2 run for a 73-59 lead entering the fourth.
Thomas scored the first nine points of an 11-2 run that Morris capped for an 83-81 lead with 1:21 left in regulation. Cousins then barreled his way inside at the other end for a layup that tied the game.
