Nets resume homestand vs. Jazz

Mar 8, 2015 - 2:59 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - The Brooklyn Nets will resume a five-game homestand Sunday versus the Utah Jazz at Barclays Center.

The Nets are 1-2 on the residency and have lost four of their last six games.

In a 108-100 overtime loss to the Phoenix Suns on Friday, the Suns used a 16-1 run late in regulation and scored 16 of the 24 points in overtime.

Brook Lopez led five Brooklyn reserves and six players overall in double figures with 19 points and 13 rebounds.

"It's tough," Lopez said. "We definitely had this one. ... it shouldn't have gone to overtime."

The Nets will close the homestand Tuesday versus New Orleans.

Utah will wrap up a four-game road trip Sunday and are 2-1 on the trip.

In an 89-83 victory at Philadelphia on Friday, Gordon Hayward scored 25 points and Derrick Favors added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Rudy Gobert had 15 rebounds and nine points for the Jazz, who bounced back from a last-second loss in Boston on Wednesday to win for the fourth time in their last five games.

"It's hard to win games in the NBA," said Hayward. "This could have been an easy one for us to lay down, but I thought we came out and competed."

After visiting the Nets, Utah will play five straight in Salt Lake City against New York, Houston, Detroit, Charlotte and Washington.

The Jazz have won nine of the last 12 meetings with the Nets.
