Knicks go for fifth straight win vs. Bucks

Apr 1, 2008 - 1:52 PM New York (20-53) at Milwaukee (24-48) 8:00 pm EDT

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) - Two of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference meet on Tuesday when the New York Knicks visit the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Knicks (20-53), who own the second worst record in the East, continue to tumble down the standings with seven losses in their last nine games, including a 114-109 setback to the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.

Jamal Crawford scored 39 points in the loss and has been playing as if New York was still competing for a playoff spot.

The 27-year-old guard, who is averaging 20 points per game this season, has scored at least 24 points in each of the last four games while hitting 57 percent (16-of-28) of his shots from 3-point range.

Crawford scored 30 points to lead the Knicks back from a 17-point second-half deficit en route to a 99-98 victory against the Bucks the last time the two teams met on February 9.

The Bucks, who have lost four straight meetings with the Knicks, have lost each of their last four games and 10 of the previous 11, including a 114-111 setback to the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
