Sonics F Wilcox arrested on weapon charges
Jun 5, 2008 - 8:52 PM BLADENBORO, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Seattle SuperSonics forward Chris Wilcox was arrested last weekend on weapons charges.Wilcox, 25, and another man were charged with two counts of carrying a concealed weapon after being arrested Saturday following a routine traffic stop.
Both men were taken into custody and booked into Bladen County Jail before being released on $500 bond.
"Chris has made us aware of the situation," Sonics spokesperson Tom Savage said in a statement. "We are in the process of gathering more information and will have further comment at the appropriate time."
A North Carolina native, Wilcox averaged 13.4 points and 7.0 rebounds in 62 games this past season with the Sonics.
