Sonics G Watson undergoes surgery
Jul 4, 2008 - 10:35 PM SEATTLE (Ticker) -- Seattle SuperSonics guard Earl Watson underwent surgery to repair a fractured right thumb, the team announced Friday.The surgery was performed Thursday in Los Angeles, where Watson suffered the injury on Monday while playing in a pickup game. He is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the start of next season.
A seven-year veteran, Watson averaged career highs in scoring (10.7), assists (6.8) and rebounds (2.9) last season.
