Thunder look to snap-four game skid

Feb 21, 2009 - 3:38 PM Oklahoma City (13-42) at Golden State (19-36) 10:30 p.m. EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- After two months of oft-embarrassing ineptitude, the Oklahoma City Thunder began to snap out of it in January, surging past the 10-win landmark and into the neighborhood of respectability.

But since a recent two-game winning streak put the finishing touches on a modest 8-6 stretch, the Thunder have endured somewhat of a hangover, dropping four contests in a row. They will try to snap out of it Saturday night when they visit the Golden State Warriors.

Oklahoma City dropped a 140-118 decision Friday night to the Phoenix Suns, who shot a sizzling 58 percent from the floor and scored at least 37 points in three separate quarters.

Kevin Durant scored 35 points to pace the Thunder, who have lost seven of their last nine games.

Oklahoma City could be hard-pressed to end that slide against the Warriors, one of the most dangerous offensive groups in the NBA.

The second-highest scoring team in the NBA, Golden State will look to bounce back from Wednesday's 129-121 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Stephen Jackson scored 24 points and dished out nine assists for the Warriors, who had their three-game winning streak snapped.
