Nuggets look to snap skid at Kings

Mar 8, 2009 - 1:58 PM Denver (40-23) at Sacramento (13-49) 9:00 p.m. EDT

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The Denver Nuggets will be attempting to snap a five-game road losing streak when they visit the lowly Sacramento Kings on Sunday.

The Nuggets have dropped six of their last nine overall but have suffered most of their ills away from the Mile High City, picking up losses against struggling Eastern Conference teams like Chicago, Milwaukee and Indiana in addition to Detroit and Utah.

Denver had a chance to win against the Jazz on Friday, building a 19-point lead at one point in the second quarter, but was outscored 60-44 in the second half and shot just 39 percent in the contest.

The Kings should be the perfect opponent to snap a losing streak against.

Sacramento sits in last place in the Western Conference and owns a 9-21 record at home. The Kings are coming off a 117-109 loss to the Pacers on Tuesday and have dropped both meetings between the teams this season.
