Holman leads Detroit over Shawnee State 82-53
Dec 29, 2009 - 2:27 AM DETROIT(AP) -- Eli Holman had 13 points, 15 rebounds, three steals and six blocks to lead Detroit to a 82-53 victory against Shawnee State on Monday night.Xavier Keeling had 13 points and Chase Simon 10 for the Titans (9-4).
Mark Bryant scored 10 points to lead Shawnee State (3-11), an NAIA school.
The Bears never shook their shooting woes, finishing 19-for-67 (28 percent) from the floor, and got off to slow starts in both halves.
Detroit scored the game's first 16 points, but Shawnee State fought back to trail 36-30 at halftime. An 11-0 Titans run to begin the second half gave them control.
