Graves leads Butler into Horizon League matchup at Detroit

DETROIT (Ticker) -- A.J. Graves and No. 11 Butler look to remain atop the Horizon League standings Saturday when they visit Detroit.

Graves scored 10 of his 26 points in overtime to lift the Bulldogs (18-2, 6-1 Horizon) to a 70-66 triumph at Loyola-Chicago on Thursday.

Pete Campbell added 12 points - including a clinching free throw - for Butler, which has a half-game lead over Wright State in the conference standings.

Detroit (7-12, 4-4) also is coming off an overtime victory, a 91-84 decision over Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Thursday.

Jon Goode produced seven of his 18 points in the extra session for the Titans, who earned coach Perry Watson a 250th career victory.

The teams split their two meetings last season, with each winning at home. Detroit posted a 73-71 win on a runner by Goode with just over a second left.
