Manhattan beats Fordham 68-44
Nov 29, 2009 - 2:59 AM NEW YORK(AP) -- Antoine Pearson scored 16 points to lead Manhattan in a 68-44 win over Fordham on Saturday night.Darryl Crawford added 15 points and Rico Pickett had 14 for the Jaspers (4-2), who have won three straight games. Pearson finished 6-for-8 from the floor and tallied five steals, and Crawford chipped in with nine rebounds.
The game stayed close early with Manhattan up just 14-8, but the Jaspers went on a 14-2 run from that point and cruised from there. The Jaspers led by 21 at halftime and outscored the Rams (1-4) in the second half 29-26.
Chris Gaston was the only Rams player in double figures, scoring 15.
Manhattan shot 49 percent from the floor (25-for-51) compared to just a 25.5 mark (13-for-51) from the Rams.
Manhattan, who doesn't play another home game until Jan. 4, leads the all-time series 53-49 and has won two straight.
