Coastal Carolina routs Bridgewater 91-42

Dec 12, 2009 - 10:43 PM CONWAY, S.C.(AP) -- Joseph Harris scored 15 of his season-high 24 points in the first half to lead Coastal Carolina in a 91-42 rout over Bridgewater (Va.) on Saturday.

The Chanticleers (8-2), who won their fourth game in a row, used a 24-0 run to lead 36-7 with 6:37 left in the first half. Coastal Carolina shot 54.3 percent (19-for-35) from the floor en route to a 53-15 halftime lead.

The Chanticleers improved to 64 percent (16-for-25) from the field in the second half and led the Division III Eagles 79-22 with 10:46 left.

Coastal Carolina shot a season-high 58.3 percent for the game, while Bridgewater (3-4) shot 22.6 percent (14-for-62). The Chanticleers had 25 assists and outrebounded the Eagles 53-30.

Harris was 10-for-12 from the field for Coastal Carolina. Chad Grey added 17 points.

Dominic Trawick led Bridgewater with 21 points, including five 3-pointers, and eight rebounds.
