Simon, Holman lead Detroit by Bowling Green 73-69
Dec 19, 2009 - 11:28 PM DETROIT(AP) -- Chase Simon scored 15 points and Eli Holman had 11 points and 12 rebounds to lead Detroit to a 73-69 victory against Bowling Green on Saturday.Thomas Kennedy added 11 points for the Titans (7-4).
Despite having five players score in double figures, Bowling Green (5-4) had a four-game winning streak snapped.
Joe Jakubowski led the Falcons with 17 points, and Jordon Crawford added 15.
After trailing by 20 points early in the second half, Bowling Green made it a game again with a 20-4 run. The Falcons closed the gap to two points on five occasions, but Detroit fended off every challenge down the stretch.
