Wisconsin-Milwaukee holds off Miami, Ohio 68-61
Dec 20, 2009 - 3:53 AM MILWAUKEE(AP) -- Ricky Franklin scored 20 points and Wisconsin-Milwaukee held off Miami, Ohio 68-61 Saturday night after nearly blowing a 19-point lead in the final five minutes.Ja'Rob McCallum added 14 points and Lonnie Boga 13 for the Panthers (8-4), who led 57-38 with 5:04 to play.
Orlando Williams scored 17 points to lead the RedHawks (3-8), who cut the lead to 63-59 with 41 seconds remaining.
After two free throws by Boga, Miami again got within four on a layup by Nick Winbush but didn't score again. Milwaukee hit 3 of 4 free throws to seal the victory.
The Panthers led 26-18 at halftime and later used a 17-6 run to push their lead to 51-32 with 8:20 to play.
Antonio Ballard added 13 points and Kenny Hayes 11 for Miami.
