Lowhorn keys San Francisco's 87-71 victory
Jan 11, 2010 - 3:29 AM SAN FRANCISCO(AP) -- Dior Lowhorn jumped three places on San Francisco's all-time scoring list while finishing with 24 points to key the Dons' 87-71 victory over San Diego on Sunday night.Kwame Vaughn finished with 21 points and a career-high nine rebounds, and Rashad Green added 16 points for San Francisco (6-11, 1-1 West Coast Conference), which had lost five straight games to San Diego (8-10, 1-1).
Lowhorn moved from 12th to ninth among San Francisco all-time scoring leaders, passing Phil Smith, Wallace Bryant and Orlando Smart in one second-half burst. Lowhorn has 1,535 points in three seasons with the Dons since transferring from Texas Tech after his freshman season.
Brandon Johnson and De'Jon Jackson combined for 45 points for San Deigo, but the rest of the Toreros shot 30 percent from the floor and could not stop the Dons, who hit 63.3 percent of their field goals.
