Conference-leading Kansas hosts Missouri
Feb 4, 2008 - 5:17 PM Missouri (13-9) at No. 5 Kansas (21-1) 9:00 pm ESTLAWRENCE, Kansas (Ticker) - Fifth-ranked Kansas hosts Missouri on Monday in a Big 12 Conference matchup.
The Jayhawks (21-1, 6-1 Big 12) rebounded from their first loss of the season with a 72-59 victory over Colorado on Saturday.
Kansas has been unbeatable at home this season, going 15-0.
Missouri (13-9, 3-4) is coming off a 77-74 win over Kansas State on Saturday. Kansas State handed Kansas its first loss last week.
The Tigers were able to defeat the Wildcats despite missing three players who remain suspended following a brawl outside a nightclub.
"Sometimes adversity can in some kind of a way have a positive effect on a team," Missouri coach Mike Anderson said. "Our kids, they're fighting hard, they're fighting together."
Missouri still has lost six of its last eight games.
The Jayhawks picked up a 76-70 road win against Missouri on January 19.
