Texas (19-4, 6-2) trails the Jayhawks by 1 1/2 games in the conference and cannot afford to another setback.

The Longhorns are also on a three-game winning streak after defeating Iowa State, 71-65, in overtime on Saturday. A.J. Abrams had 25 points - a season-high in conference play - on 7-of-10 shooting from the arc in the win.

The Jayhawks had a pair of four-point victories over Texas last season, including clinching the regular season conference title against the Longhorns, and winning the Big 12 tournament championship, 88-84, on March 11 in the other.

It is the only game between the two schools this season.
