Butler aims for 10th straight win vs. Milwaukee-Wisconsin

Jan 24, 2009 - 11:30 AM Wisconsin-Milwaukee (12-7) at No. 17 Butler (17-1), 2:00 p.m. EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Butler looks to extend its season-high winning streak to 10 games when it hosts Milwaukee-Wisconsin in a battle of Horizon League rivals on Saturday.

The 17th-ranked Bulldogs (17-1, 8-0 Horizon League) picked up their 19th straight conference victory by beating Wisconsin-Green Bay, 68-59, on Thursday.

With that triumph, they improved to 9-0 at home, and have won 13 straight at Hinkle Fieldhouse since falling to then-No. 16 Drake on February 23.

Matt Howard continues to pace Butler, leading the team with 13.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.

Milwaukee-Wisconsin (12-7, 7-2) is coming off a 63-51 loss at Valparaiso, and has fallen in five of its last seven games away from home.

Tone Boyle has helped the Panthers to their current second-place standing by posting 14.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest this season.

One of these schools has registered at least a share of the last seven Horizon League regular--season titles.
