Butler finishes road trip at Wright State

Butler goes for its second straight win on Saturday when it visits Wright State in a Horizon League matchup.

The 11th-ranked Bulldogs (20-2, 11-1 Horizon) bounced back from their first loss in 22 league games to post a 66-61 victory at Detroit on Thursday.

Butler lost on Monday at Wisconsin-Green Bay (10-2), which is one game behind the Bulldogs in the standings.

Freshman Gordon Hayward led the way against Detroit, knocking down four 3-pointers and shooting 7-of-8 from the floor en route to scoring 22 points. Hayward leads the team in scoring at 13.8 points per game.

Wright State (14-9, 8-4) is still in the mix for the league title and has won six of its past seven.

Todd Brown had 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Raiders posted a 68-58 victory over Valparaiso on Thursday. With Vaughn Duggins out due to injury, Brown is averaging 10 points per game to lead Wright State.

Butler won the first meeting this season, 64-48, on January 8.
