Clemson looks to remain in ACC hunt

Feb 22, 2009 - 2:05 PM No. 13 Clemson (21-4) at Georgia Tech (10-15), 1:00 p.m. EST

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Clemson hopes to complete a sweep of lowly Georgia Tech when the Atlantic Coast Conference teams meet Sunday.

The 13th-ranked Tigers (21-4, 7-4 ACC) are coming off an impressive 93-64 victory over Maryland on Tuesday.

Terrence Oglesby led six players in double figures with 16 points and Demontez Stitt added 15 to lead Clemson, which scored 59 points in the second half.

Trevor Booker is averaging a team-high 15 points and 9.1 rebounds.

The Tigers are two games back of North Carolina (10-3) in the conference standings and can ill-afford a slip up against the last-place Yellow Jackets if they hope to stay in the hunt.

Georgia Tech (10-15, 1-11) has lost five straight games after its lone ACC win over Wake Forest.

The Yellow Jackets were beaten in the rematch with the Demon Deacons, 87-69, on Wednesday.

Gani Lawal leads the team in scoring and rebounding at 15.3 points and 10.0 boards per contest.
