UCLA still holding out hope for Pac-10 title vs. Oregon

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Seventeenth-ranked UCLA makes its last gasp to retain its Pac-10 title on Saturday when the Bruins host lowly Oregon.

The Bruins (23-7, 12-5 Pac-10) sit alone in second place in the conference standings, one game behind No. 13 Washington (23-7, 13-4), which can clinch the regular-season Pac-10 crown with a win over Washington State on Saturday.

UCLA has won three straight, including a 79-54 victory over Oregon State on Thursday.

Josh Shipp scored a career-high 27 points and Nikola Dragovic added 13 and eight rebounds for the Bruins, who have won nine straight meetings with the Beavers by an average of 22.2 points.

The Ducks (8-21, 2-15) are coming off an 80-66 setback to Southern California on Thursday, snapping a a season-high equaling, two-game win streak.
