Wake Forest aims for fourth straight win
Mar 8, 2009 - 2:07 PM No. 19 Clemson (23-6) at No. 10 Wake Forest (23-5), 6:00 p.m. ESTWINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Wake Forest looks to extend its winning streak to four games when it hosts No. 19 Clemson on Sunday.
The 10th-ranked Demon Deacons (23-5, 10-5) are currently in third place in the Atlantic Coast Conference, one game ahead of both Clemson (23-6, 9-6) and Florida State (9-6). The top four teams receive a bye in next week's ACC tournament.
Jeff Teague scored 17 points and freshman Al-Farouq Aminu had 16 and 14 rebounds as Wake Forest defeated Maryland, 65-63, on Tuesday.
Clemson snapped a two-game losing streak with a 75-57 victory over Virginia on Tuesday. Terrence Oglesby scored 18 points and Trevor Booker had 13 and 15 rebounds in the win.
Wake Forest won the first meeting in a battle of then-unbeaten teams, 78-68, on January 17.
