Dec 9, 2006 - 4:39 PM No. 14 Butler (10-0) at Indiana St (4-3) 7:05 pm EST

TERRE HAUTE, Indiana (Ticker) -- Butler visits Indiana State in its second straight matchup against an in-state rival Saturday.

The 14th-ranked Bulldogs defeated Ball State, 65-41, on Wednesday, moving within three wins of the school record to begin a season set by the 2001-02 club.

Mike Green scored a career-high 21 points and Julian Betko and A.J. Graves both added 11 for Butler, which held the Cardinals to 30 percent (14-of-47) shooting.

After Ball State, Butler hosts Purdue and Evansville in its four-game schedule of consecutive matchups with Indiana-based schools. The Bulldogs already have wins over Notre Dame and Indiana this season.

Jay Tunnell scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Gabriel Moore added 19 points, but the Sycamores endured a 73-70 overtime loss to Ball State a week ago.

Indiana State shot 53 percent (25-of-47) overall, but failed to overcome 21 turnovers.

Butler has dropped the last two meetings in the series, but is now 5-0 versus in-state programs this season.
