However, the Shockers have not played since a 83-69 triumph over Wyoming on December 9. Wichita State struggled against the Cowboys, blowing a 14-point lead in the second half before regrouping to pull away for good late in the second half.
Kyle Wilson led the Shockers with 19 points while Matt Braeuer chipped in with 18. A key to the victory was 3-point shooting, as Wichita State shot 47 percent (7-of-15) from the arc while holding Wyoming to only 3-of-12 (25 percent).
The Hawks have lost two straight after a close 65-63 defeat to Howard on December 9. Ed Tyson led Maryland-Eastern Shore with 16 points while Antonio McMillion and Jesse Brooks each added 14.
Brooks, a sophomore guard, is averaging 14.2 points-per-game average to lead the Hawks, who are only shooting 39.4 percent from the field this season.
