Phillips, Jennings lead No. 11 Xavier to win
Jan 23, 2010 - 8:26 PM OLEAN, N.Y.(AP) -- Ta'Shia Phillips and Special Jennings each scored 16 points to lead No. 11 Xavier to a 62-53 win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday.April Phillips added 12, and Amber Harris had 10 for the Musketeers (14-3, 4-0 Atlantic 10), winners of five straight.
The Bonnies drew even, 31-31, with 15:14 left in the second half after Armelia Horton hit both free throws, but Xavier went on a 10-2 run to seal the victory. Harris, the conference's third-leading scorer, had six of her 10 points in that stretch.
Dana Mitchell had 13 points, and Andrea Doneth added 10 for St. Bonaventure (14-6, 2-3), which has dropped three of four.
The Bonnies were held to 30 percent shooting from the field.
