Givens leads Middle Tennessee to 15th straight win
Jan 25, 2007 - 7:43 AM DENTON, Texas (Ticker) -- Chrissy Givens scored 26 points to lead No. 19 Middle Tennessee to a 70-56 victory over North Texas in a Sun Belt Conference matchup.Givens was 10-of-21 from the field and added four steals for the Blue Raiders (18-3, 10-0 Sun Belt), who have won 15 straight.
Amber Holt scored 16 points and Krystle Horton had 10 rebounds for Middle Tennessee, which scored 32 points off of 23 turnovers by North Texas.
Amber Jackson scored 21 points and had 12 rebounds and Jo Hall added 17 points for the Lady Eagles (5-13, 2-6), who trailed only 32-31 at the break but shot just 9-of-25 (36 percent) in the second half.
