Zavecz leads Wyoming past Air Force
Jan 17, 2008 - 5:04 AM COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Ticker) -- Hanna Zavecz scored 27 points for No. 21 Wyoming en route to a 75-59 victory over Air Force in Mountain West Conference play on Wednesday.Jodi Bolerjack added 16 points for the Cowgirls (15-1, 3-0 MWC), who extended their winning streak to eight games.
Wyoming, which led by as many as 20 points late in the second half, went 50 percent (12-of-24) from the arc while blanking the Falcons from 3-point range (0-for-6). The Cowgirls shot 57 percent (30-for-53) for the contest.
Alecia Steele led Air Force (6-9, 0-3) with 22 points.
