Defense leads Wyoming past Air Force
Feb 17, 2008 - 12:44 AM LARAMIE, Wyoming (Ticker) -- Justyna Podziemska scored 13 points and No. 21 Wyoming held Air Force to 27 percent (14-of-52) shooting en route to a 60-32 victory on Saturday in Mountain West Conference action.Podziemska drained three 3-pointers and added six rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
Jodi Bolerjack had 10 points and Hanna Zavecz contributed nine and 14 rebounds for the Cowgirls (20-4, 8-3 MWC), who shot just 41 percent (21-of-51) but held a 40-31 edge on the boards and committed just 10 turnovers.
Alecia Steele scored six points for the Falcons (8-15, 2-9), who connected on just 14-of-52 shots from the field and missed both free throw attempts.
