Mitchell, Murray lead St. Bonaventure to upset win
Feb 17, 2008 - 12:58 AM OLEAN, New York (Ticker) -- Dana Mitchell and Katelyn Murray scored 14 points apiece as St. Bonaventure pulled off a 63-60 upset victory over George Washington in Atlantic 10 Conference action on Saturday.Mitchell added 11 rebounds and four assists while Murray knocked down three 3-pointers for the Bonnies (17-9, 5-6 A-10), who snapped a 26-game losing streak to George Washington and set a school record for wins.
Erica Schiefen drained four 3-pointers for 12 points and Andrea Doneth contributed 10 points and nine assists off the bench for St. Bonaventure, which connected on 9-of-30 shots from the arc.
Sarah-Jo Lawrence scored 20 points to lead four players in double figures for the Colonials (20-5, 8-2), who trailed, 44-24, at the half before having their six-game winning streak snapped.
