Chambers has big first half as Georgia cruises
Dec 22, 2006 - 6:39 AM RICHMOND, Virginia (Ticker) -- Cori Chambers scored 17 of her 20 points in the first half as No. 11 Georgia rolled to a 72-41 victory over Richmond in a non-conference matchup.Janese Hardrick had 12 points and Tasha Humphrey followed with 11 for the Lady Bulldogs (11-1), who extended their winning streak to four games.
Chambers, who finished with four 3-pointers, helped Georgia race to a 35-12 cushion after the first 20 minutes. The Lady Bulldogs held the Spiders to 15 percent (4-of-26) shooting during that span.
Katie Holzer scored 12 points and Christina Campion added 11 for Richmond (4-8), which committed 23 turnovers in its third setback in the last four outings.
