Georgia tops Brown behind Humphrey
Dec 31, 2006 - 9:35 AM SAN DIEGO (Ticker) -- Tasha Humphrey scored a season-high 27 points to lead No. 10 Georgia to an 82-69 victory over Brown in the consolation game of the Surf 'N Slam Classic.Humphrey made 12-of-15 shots from the floor as the Lady Bulldogs (12-2) used a 32-7 run in the second half to put the game away.
Cori Chambers added 20 points and Janese Hardrick 16 for Georgia, which made 11-of-27 shots from 3-point range.
Lena McAfee led Brown (2-10) with 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Megan McCahill and Ashley King-Bischoff added 12 apiece.
Brown finished a perfect 15-of-15 at the free-throw line.
