DeHaan steps up for Michigan St. once again
Dec 31, 2006 - 9:58 PM EAST LANSING, Michigan (Ticker) -- Another double-double for Allyssa DeHaan equalled another win for Michigan State.DeHaan scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as No. 20 Michigan State captured its fourth straight win with a 56-46 victory over Wisconsin in a Big Ten Conference matchup.
Picking up her fourth double-double in the past five games, DeHaan shot 4-of-8 from the field and converted 6-of-10 free throws.
Rene Haynes had 13 points and nine boards and Victoria Lucas-Perry scored 11 for the Spartans (11-2, 2-0 Big Ten), who put together an 18-4 run early in the second half to rally from a deficit.
Janese Banks and Jolene Anderson scored 12 points apiece for the Badgers (12-3, 1-1), who shot 30 percent (17-of-56) and committed 23 turnovers in losing their third straight road game.
