Warburton, Utah shock 23rd-ranked TCU
Jan 19, 2007 - 5:53 AM SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Sophomore Morgan Warburton and Utah put an end to TCU's winning ways.Warburton scored 18 points and Joh-Teena Filipe chipped in nine and 14 rebounds as the Utes posted a 72-61 upset triumph over the 18th-ranked Lady Frogs.
Jessica Perry scored 15 points and Kalee Whipple added 14 for Utah (12-6, 5-0 Mountain West), which jumped out to a 33-23 advantage at intermission.
Whipple's 3-pointer with 2:59 remaining in the second half helped the Utes extend their lead to 63-51 and coasted from there on.
Hanna Biernacka scored 21 points for Lady Frogs (13-5, 3-1), who had their seven-game winning streak snapped. TCU shot just 35 percent (21-of-59) from the floor.
