Middle Tennessee still perfect in Sun Belt
Feb 1, 2007 - 8:10 AM MURFREESBORO, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Chrissy Givens led five players in double figures and Middle Tennessee remained perfect in Sun Belt Conference play with an 82-58 victory over Denver.Givens was 7-of-11 from the field and scored 16 points. Brandi Brown had 15 points, Amber Holt 13, Starr Orr 11 and Jackie Pickel 10 for the Blue Raiders, who have won a school record 17 in a row.
Middle Tennessee (20-3, 12-0 Sun Belt) scored 13 points off Denver's 13 turnovers in the first half and led, 37-23, at the break.
The Blue Raiders finished with 28 points off of 24 Pioneer turnovers and ended any thoughts of a comeback by starting the second half with a 13-4 run.
Alisha Godette scored 15 points and had eight rebounds for The Pioneers (12-9, 7-5)
