Flynn, Achter continue Bowling Green's roll through MAC
Feb 8, 2007 - 5:41 AM BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (Ticker) -- Amber Flynn and Kate Achter each scored 18 points to lead 17th-ranked Bowling Green to an 86-76 victory over Ball State in a Mid-American Conference matchup.Flynn came off the bench and hit 6-of-7 shots from the field and added eight rebounds for the Falcons (21-2, 10-0 MAC East). Flynn's performance was a big reason Bowling Green held a 25-3 edge in bench points.
Achter was 8-of-10 from the field and added six rebounds and four assists and Liz Honegger scored 17 points for Bowling Green.
The Falcons have now won 14 straight since a December 19 loss to No. 1 Duke and 35 straight contests vs. MAC opponents, a school and conference record.
Kelsey Corbin scored 27 points and Porchia Green had 24 for Ball State (17-4, 8-2 West).
