Cole, George Washington roll to 14th win in a row
Feb 11, 2007 - 9:58 PM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Kenan Cole made sure that George Washington continued to roll on against St. Bonaventure.Cole scored 15 points as the ninth-ranked Colonials used a dominant start to post their 14th consecutive victory, a 75-41 victory over the Bonnies in an Atlantic-10 Conference contest.
Sarah-Jo Lawrence also had 15 points for George Washington (21-2, 10-0 A-10), which remained unbeaten in league play by posting its 26th consecutive victory over St. Bonaventure. The Colonials lead the all-time series 31-1.
Cole shot 6-of-9 from the field with two 3-pointers for GW, which held a 44-17 advantage at the half after shooting 52 percent (17-of-33) in the opening 20 minutes.
Dana Mitchell had 10 points despite 4-of-15 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds for the Bonnies (13-12, 3-7), who shot 24 percent (14-of-59) and committed 21 turnovers in dropping their third straight game.
