Hardrick, Georgia clip Auburn
Feb 19, 2007 - 12:29 AM AUBURN, Alabama (Ticker) -- Janese Hardrick scored 20 points and collected seven rebounds off the bench as No. 12 Georgia defeated Southeastern Conference rival Auburn, 62-55.Tasha Humphrey had 14 points and Christy Marshall added 12 and six rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs (23-5, 10-3 SEC), who have won four consecutive games.
Hardrick hit 5-of-7 from the field and converted 7-of-8 free throws for Georgia, which shot 58 percent (15-of-26) in the first half to take a 34-28 edge and held on.
Sherell Hobbs scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds and Dewanna Bonner added 11 for Auburn (17-11, 4-8), which shot 36 percent (11-of-31) in the second half to prevent a comeback.
The Lady Tigers have lost their last four games.
