Maryland pounds North Carolina despite turnovers

Diandra Tchatchouang scored 13, while Lynetta Kizer and Alicia DeVaughn each netted 12 for the Terrapins (16-3, 3-2 ACC), who cruised to their third straight win despite committing 28 turnovers.

Italee Lucas posted 17 points for the Tar Heels (17-3, 3-2), who were coming off a win over Wake Forest on Thursday.

Maryland raced out to a 44-32 lead at the break and hit 14-of-15 from the foul line in final 20 minutes to come away with the easy decision.
