GW hires Tsipis as women's hoops coach
Apr 7, 2012 - 3:34 AM Washington, DC (Sports Network) - George Washington hired Jonathan Tsipis as head women's basketball coach on Friday.Tsipis spent the past nine seasons on the coaching staff at Notre Dame, most recently as associate head coach and recruiting coordinator for the last four years.
He replaced Mike Bozeman, who was fired after an 11-18 season. With Tsipis, the Colonials get a coach with a winning pedigree.
Notre Dame went 228-77 with Tsipis on the sidelines and made back-to-back NCAA National Championship Game appearances the last two seasons.
