Penn State pounds Wisconsin
Jan 18, 2013 - 2:45 AM University Park, PA (Sports Network) - Nikki Greene had 23 points and 14 rebounds to lead No. 8 Penn State in an 84-40 thrashing of Wisconsin on Thursday.Alex Bentley had 14 points and five assists, while Maggie Lucas gave 11 points with four boards for the Lady Lions (14-2, 4-0 Big Ten), who got 10 points from Ariel Edwards in the win.
Morgan Paige scored 14 points and Jacki Gulczynski added 10 points and 10 boards for the Badgers (8-10, 0-5), who have lost six straight.
This game was never really in doubt as the Lady Lions scored the first 11 points of the game and then scored the final six points of the half to take a 46-21 lead into the break.
Penn State continued to stay hot as the team scored eight unanswered early in the second half for a 55-23 lead and effectively put the game away.
